Little Current

Mindemoya

This small village is on the western tip of Manitoulin Island, about 133 km west of Little Current. It was named after a town in Scotland and has one of the finest harbours on the Island, as well as one of the most spectacular views. The port also offers Canadian Customs for American visitors. It was once a busy fishing port, home to much of the Lake Huron fishing fleet, and a stopping point for many Great lakes steamers. There is a large quarry nearby, a lighthouse, and a heritage inn which is open year round.
