Bridal Veil Falls
This trail is located on hwy 540 at the entrance to Kagawong. A picnic area at the top of the falls leads down to the base of the falls and the trail follows both sides of the stream to the bay. Take a dip in the falls and take the walking tour of the old town. Allow 1 to 2 hours.
Cup & Saucer
Located 18 kms west of Little Current, at the junction of Hwy 540 & Bidwell Road. 2 kms of dramatic 70 meter cliffs and breathtaking views, up to 12 kms of hiking trails and the 2km adventure trail. One of the most popular trails in Ontario. Anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours. No Overnight Camping on the property.Open May 15th - Thanksgiving Weekend - Daily from Dawn To Dusk
Gordon's Park
Located on Highway 6 in Tehkummah. Enjoy a stroll through the diverse eco systems of Gordon's Park in the heart of a hardwood forest. Observe and listen to the beauty of nature around the pond, up the escarpment, in the swamp and throughout the meadows. The hiking trails at Gordon's Park are complimented by the Interpretive Centre with displays of mounted animals and informative Information Stations on mushrooms, edible wilds, fossils, trees, animal tracks and much more. www.gordonspark.com
Lewis Twins Peak Hiking Trail
This trail is in Sheguiandah and can be accessed from the east side of hwy 6 across from the Paradise Motel. 2 km in length and a relatively easy hike, the trail provides two spectacular views of Bass Lake and the North Channel. The lookouts are on Quartzite outcrops. Allow 1 - 1.5 hours.Open May 15th - Thanksgiving Weekend - Dawn to Dusk
M'Chigeeng
The entrance is located behind the ball park off Hwy 551. Includes two trails, one along the bottom of the bluff and the other going to the very top. The Bear Caves and Fossil Rock Point are two spots of interest. They offer spectacular views of the North Channel. Allow 2 to 3 hours. Open 7 days a week 9am - 5 pm.

McLean's Park
Located on New England side road, off Hwy 6 between Manitowaning and South Baymouth. This is a 100 acre park with about 3 km along the New England road features hiking trails based on ancient logging paths. Hardwood bush with some huge trees. This walk is about 1.5 hours.
Misery Bay Provincial Nature Reserve
Misery Bay Provincial Nature Reserve is a 860 hectare provincial park on the south shore of Manitoulin Island, a ten minute drive west of Evansville. There are two trails of about 5 kms and 4 km which feature mixed woodland, old beach ridges and rare alvars. Allow 2 to 4 hours. Mississagi Lighthouse
Located at the lighthouse near Meldrum Bay are several short trails that follow the craggy shoreline over flat limestone ledges, around enormous boulders and through rock fissures, Wildflowers and birds. The trails offer beautiful views of Lake Huron. Allow 1 to 2 hours.

Sheshegwaning
Nimkees Hiking Trail North of Silver Water, off Hwy 540. the Sheshegwaning First Nations are developing a 20 km trail which can be enjoyed in several sections, some offering beautiful views of the North Channel. There is facilities for camping and picnicking. Maps are available at the Band office or the Gas/Convenience store at the beginning of the trail. Allow 3 to 6 hours.
Wagg's Woods
Right off Mindemoya's main street. Located directly across from the municipal office and library building. Moss climbs the cliffs which are part of the Niagara Escarpment. Watch for 15 different species of fern. Allow 1 hour.
» CYCLING ON MANITOULIN
Manitoulin Island's picturesque back roads are popular with cyclists. Vehicle traffic is generally light, although cyclists are warned to let ferry traffic get well ahead of them on Highway 6, and to watch out for unique features like logging trucks, slow-moving farm vehicles, and the occasional cattle drive and yes, we have hills!
At least two require caution going down and considerable stamina going up. One Highway 6, at Ten Mile Point, the hill going south is 1620 m (5500 ft) long with a 5% grade. On Highway 540, the east side of the West Bay/M'Chigeeng hill is 900m (3000 ft) long with a 5 - 8% grade. Between West Bay and Kagawong there are four hills with an 8% grade of 300 m (900 ft), 360 m (100 ft), 423 m (1200 ft), and 540 m (1400 ft) respectively.
