CYCLING ON MANITOULIN
Manitoulin
Island's picturesque back roads are popular with cyclists. Vehicle
traffic is generally light, although cyclists are warned to let ferry
traffic get well ahead of them on Highway 6, and to watch out for unique
features like logging trucks, slow-moving farm vehicles, and the
occasional cattle drive and yes,
we have hills!

HUNTING Manitoulin has excellent hunting for small game and waterfowl. Each year there are about 3,000 deer taken. The annual hunt is held Monday thru Sunday of the third week in November. Bow season begins the first Saturday in October and continues to the Friday before the gun hunt. Early in December, there is a three day black powder season and extended archery hunt.
